Thanks to all the veterans. We live in a great country ( in spite of its problems, it is still great) and we need to be grateful for our freedoms.

Just came back from the Veterans cemetery... put flowers on my dad and BIL headstone... a nice lady gave us some small flags to put near the headstone... she gave us extras so we went around to put them on other graves...

We chose the headstones of the kids who died in our recent wars... we did not pry, but the lady who was there was either the widow or sister of the one she was visiting... she was there for 30 minutes at least and still there even after we left...

There were a number of kids in their early 20s who was in the section of of my dad... it is sad they have to die so young...

Thanks to all who served in the military to make us safe..

Many thanks to all our veterans, volunteers and conscripted, over the long history of this nation. To serve in a war or wars is a very big deal.

It was a different reception in 1966-1969. The change is most welcome.
