Re: Vinyl flooring

Hmm, ends up it's good to be cheap sometimes, mine doesn't have the feature. I read about the Sharper image ozone problem somewhere, their behavior borders on criminal IMHO. Caveat Emptor, indeed!

Re: Vinyl flooring

There are an army of Ionic Breeze Nazi's who will force you to eat your own buttocks if, for just a moment, you slightly impugne the product that has changed their lives.

Even though a handful of objective tests have shown that the device, aside from removing a small amount of smoke from the air, does almost nothing whatsoever other than spew dangerous levels of ozone.

Kinda funny...in almost any product category you can find an overpriced underperformer with a small army of crackpots fanboys enthusiasts who swear its the greatest thing ever. You've gotta love marketing.

Re: Vinyl flooring

reviving the thread to show the finished flooring:

IMHO, for $100, you can't be the "look like wood" vinyl tile flooring. Perfect for individual rooms. I wouldn't recommend doing your whole house with it, but in small spaces it looks almost as good, and it's extremely easy to install. And if a tile gets wrecked, pull it up and lay another, no problem! That's the monster air filter in the corner, most everything else is out of the room now, less to collect dust.

Re: Vinyl flooring

Nice job Laurence!

You probably have this base covered but its worth noting...ceiling fan blades are perfect magnets and then distributors of dust. Both sides of the blades should be cleaned regularly.

Re: Vinyl flooring

I think the room looks very pretty. I like how you've done the walls. Just thought I would mention, too, that mini-blinds are also horrible dust collectors.

Re: Vinyl flooring

Thanks, all - I forget the name of the crib, that time was just a blur! Yah, we need to clean the blinds and fan more often. Room certainly is a lot better now that it isn't carpet covered in a million stuffed animals. I believe we left a hundred friends/family crestfallen when we asked them to stop giving her dust sponges stuffed animals.
