Made it home last night, and other than power, everything looks like it rode out the storm well.
Took us 10 hours to drive the normal 5 1/2 trip from Houston - accidents initially slowed us down, then we had to find a way tp the house where the roads weren't flooded. We ended up driving about 30 miles east, 30 miles north and 30 mile west and then 20 mile south to get around all the flooding We just made it across the last possible route in as the river was beginning to cross the road (about 6" deep). Now all the roads are flooded, so we are essentially on an island about 20 miles diameter.

Who says no man is an island? lol

But it's nice to be home.......

The house is high and dry, butit's nice to be home....
