Has anyone watched Cadfael? I know it's older, but we see it's on Acorn and highly rated on Amazon and IMBD. Any thoughts?

I sometimes watch.
"Death in Paradise" (liked the inspector in the 1st series, new inspector is fluff)
"Father Brown"
"Miss Fisher Murder Mysteries" (Aussie series)
They're cute.......
I'll be working on some metal embossing tonight so will listen to Rosemary & Thyme and Midsummers Murders.

It's 'mild', but we enjoyed it.

It was really good, IMO. Made me go out and read the stories.

We had a few laughs over the dialogue in Vicious Vicious (TV Series 2013– ) - IMDb (featuring Derek Jacobi, who played the protagonist in Cadfael), although, due to repetition, the ongoing meme is unsustainable long term.

We couldn't limit our choices to 3...or probably 3 times 3. Across Netflix, Amazon Prime and Acorn, there's just a plethora of good shows. If you're in to the older ones, Inspector Morse, Prime Suspect, Ballykissangel, The Vicar of Dibley and Cadfael are good choices. Newer, but having completed their run are Rosemary and Thyme, Land Girls, Inspector Lewis, Murder in Suburbia, Kingdom, Foyle's War and Luther. Currently on and great to watch are Downton Abbey, George Gently, Endeavor, The Fall, Doc Martin, DCI Banks, Grantchester...better stop before we exceed 3 times 3 times 3. Lots of good recommendations in the thread for us to explore. Thanks.

C'mon people! How can there be anything better than "The Benny Hill Show"? As a young boy growing up in the 70s and 80s, I thought that show was the best ever
