what could they be used for?

I put on Craigslist offering for free two items.

Granted they are a niche as in for electronic hobbyists.

I get an email from a guy "What could they be used for?".

If you don't know, then these things are not for you.
Move on.
I deleted the email.

The shields are just hardware not expensive.
What is "valuable" are the XBee modules.
I bought the shields, but ended up not wanting to spend another $50 for two of the cheapest XBees.
