The title was offensive imho but I do think the topic is a worthwhile one for the forum, fwiw.

Probably has to do with cause of death? Although we would all be speculating based on fake or not-fake news. I liked the cultural side to his shows. Always had a good story and I know watched by a very diverse crowd. RIP AB.

I did too! It is hard to imagine what was in that thread.
Luckily we have an excellent volunteer mod team and they are busily figuring out whether something needs to be done, and if so what.
I'll happily let them do that while I relax and enjoy the other posts this morning here on the ER Forum.

Wonder if I said something out of line, certainly didn’t mean to. I’ve been a Bourdain fan for a long time.

You gotta know the mods really love seeing their decisions and actions second guessed and discussed on the open forum.

Discussion yes, but I don't see any second-guessing. All I'm seeing is respect for what you guys do, and some genuine concern on the part of some posters that they were perhaps somehow complicit. Perhaps I'm not seeing all the posts in this thread, or am missing something?

Just as a memory refresher, this is in the community rules:
Quote:
Complaints about a moderator's decision regarding a particular post are not be made in posts; instead send a private message to a moderator.
|
And until a decision is actually made, it would be best to end this thread here.
