What if the Big Three go into chapter 11 ?

What if any impact might it have on retiree pensions and health care bennies ?

Should be ok. The government wont let all that fail. Well maybe the health care part. But the pensions would be ok. What do I know though..

Probably lose health care right away for salaried retirees, maybe later for hourly. Pensions are not guaranteed by PBGC for the full promised amount and are on a sliding scale (see link). So early retirees get less.
