Meadbh, let's keep gluten-free roles just between us--as it's sort of embarrassing.
Please remember not to park in the driveway.

Ooh, it's another E-R gathering. Let's all go.
We'll each bring an ingredient and redduck can make a big batch of stone soup.
I don't really understand why he wants us to park on the lawn, but OK.

Meadbh...
One last thing. Along with the "roles," the soup, the coffee, and the utensils, would you mind picking up braumeister? Apparently, he lives in Northern Kentucky. Luckily, that's not too far out of your way. Also we will need an extra chair for braumeister, but my guess is, we won't be needing any extra spoons or forks.

Well I sprung for the mixer but not at $600 . I was able to price match it to the Amazon one apparently they were the same item so I paid $299 not $600 but nobody but me knows it .

The other day I saw a bakery advertising gluten-free bagels. !!?!?!?!?!
I thought bagels were supposed to be made with a high gluten flour so they have that wonderful chewy texture.
I'm happy to park on the lawn, or better yet in the flower beds. The dirt will absorb the oil leaks very well.

My most recent personal purchase was a quart of Round Up Super Concentrate.
However, I made a major business purchase recently, $33K worth of camera and editing equipment for a lab I support. I had a very weird experience where Amazon just moved my purchase into some limbo waiting for someone to call me for authorization. I've had the authorization calls before, no big deal. Usually they come within a few hours of a big purchase. This time I kept getting a "we're sorry, but your order has been delayed" email, one a day for 3 days. I finally found a support phone number for Amazon (hard to find) and called. The order had a message saying they needed to call for authorization within 5 hours, but it had been over 3 days. Nobody had an explanation for the delay. And the one Amazon support department I was talking to didn't have a phone number for the one responsible for releasing the order, just an email address.
They finally got it taken care of, and the woman who helped me was incredible. I just found it weird that even within Amazon they avoid letting humans talk to each other. I know they really don't want to talk to customers, using anonymous emails whenever possible. But you'd think at least their own people could talk to each other.

Similar experience here with some expensive, and not so expensive purchase delays. I also had to "find" a customer service number to call and they were trying to point me to their third party vendor for communication. Heck, if I wanted to do that, I could have just ordered from the third party vendor first.
Actually, I do that more and more anymore.

I actually called the third party vendor first, and they gave me the number for Amazon since they hadn't received the order yet.
I could have ordered from them directly, but 5% back on $33K is nothing to sneeze at.

I bought 100% Oregon beeswax candles. The wood pile is getting kind of small, so instead of building a fire, I sometimes light a candle or three and get a pretty good ambience. They smell fantastic too if you don't know, they smell of honey.
I go through Amazon for online purchases to have one place that has my credit card info.

Finled e26 to e26 adapters to allow use of led bulbs with lamps that have very narrow throats. (From Amazon) I had tried the old adapters that had a porcelan exterior but they were to big around. These are not much wider than the old bulb socket, and give you a 1.5 inch extension to fit a narrow base led in place.

Yes, that's a savings worth getting. I now order coffee K cups directly from the retailer at a discount from Amazon pricing with free shipping too boot. Some things work that way and some don't. Expensive stuff I shop it hard all over the net.
Amazon shorted me on an order this week and I had a call with them. Once again, they pointed to the third party vendor even though Amazon appears to have filled it out of their warehouse in Houston. Go figure.
My sense is that Amazon is getting pretty sloppy and also relies on the Post Office which around here adds one to two days to Prime deliveries.

I can't tell you how well all this is working out. Hopefully, I will have moved before the party starts. I certainly now have the incentive.

A new wireless mouse, the one I have is starting to get a bit flaky, most times it works okay, but once in a while it doesn't so I think it is about to die.
And a one pound Hershey's chocolate bar.

Straight and ball-end metric and standard Allen wrench set, Amazon Basics. The frustrating thing is that I know I have a set of these - somewhere - that I bought ~30 years ago. Danged if I can find 'em though. Oh well, blow that dough!
