A neighbor moved over the weekend and left out a “free box.” I took a couple of books and some software. The only thing that installed okay and works is the Encyclopædia Britannica. I see that you can buy it new for $19.95 or used at $9.99. It never crossed my mind to buy that kind of software. It’s a 2007 version but apparently links to the internet and is to be cited as 2009.

What did you buy/acquire for your home system? What do you find useful? Which ones were a waste of money or storage space?

Janet, does Quickbooks Pro fetch account information from banks and brokers and CC companies?

I've been using MS Money, but I would actualy prefer a double entry system.

I would only use the chart of accounts and the general ledger.

Ha

You can set up import/download from various banks and other accounts, but I have no idea about various ways to configure this as I do manual (on demand) imports as needed. I mostly use quickbooks to manage customer accounts and keep fairly simple books (remember you are getting advice from a musician here..). I also appreciate that it syncs up with Turbo Tax seamlessly for quarterlies, etc.
