What's fresh?
Neat interactive map that lets you see what produce and other ingredients are fresh in your area. I have to admit I'm somewhat challenged on this subject and only figure out such things when I notice the huge mountain of fresh corn or strawberries in the produce section.

We've been picking beets and cherries lately. And the first zucchini is just available from seeds planted in my greenhouse in February.
Soon I will be awash with different squash. I went overboard and planted about 16 different squash plants; a couple of varieties of zucchini, butternut, different varieties of patty pan and delicata. At the demo garden we have trombone squash, crookneck, round zucchini, papaya pear squash and patty pan. It will be a squash summer.
