My original username was FIREdreamer (pretty self-explanatory). After reaching FIRE in 2010, I changed it to FD for a short while but REWahoo brilliantly suggested using a shortened version of my original username -FIREd- to better describe my new status.
Avatar is a famous French actor.

"My Dream" was to retire in my early 50's, I ended up retiring in my late 40's. "My Dream" came sooner then I thought.

DS was a member of a game forum and used the name kyro. I joined (long story as to why....) as kyrosmother....generally referred to as KM.
Guess it's time to add my avatar.

My older brother (who still can't save ) was always jealous that I saved my allowance and gift money and had cash when I needed it. Like any good little sister aggravating him was a bonus.
His nick name for me was "Greedy Little Miser"
The law of unintended consequences - it taught me the LBYM lifestyle. Thanks Bro......

In middle school, a kid found a Rambler hubcap on the playground. How it came to be on the playground is anyone's guess. Kid puts said Rambler hubcap on my head and calls me Rambler. We all had nicknames (tiny school with only 25 students in 8th grade...had to find something to do with our time, do we found nicknames for each other). Rambler stuck for me thru high school, but was largely forgotten from the college years. I dredged it up 5.5 years ago when joining this (my first) online forum. I now use it, or a version of it adding my birth year, for a couple others that I visit less frequently than here. Avatar is the 'R' trademark that was on said hubcap 39 years ago, when it was placed upon my crown, dubbing me Rambler. I scrounged it from somewhere in the web.

A contraction of my name. My avatar is an Ohio star quilt block, because I am into quilts/quilting big time and I hail from Ohio.

No, I do not. My dad used to own a Rambler station wagon, hubcaps and all, 46 years ago. I may buy and restore the same car he had, just as a hobby. We'll see...lots of other priorities. But, if I run across a Rambler hubcap for sale, I'm buying it!

Was fi before I joined the forum. I was attempting to retire early. I made it at 46. Some suggested that I change it now that I retired. I still think I'm attempting retirement cause I'm not entirely comfortable being retired...even after a year and a half...so I've left it. It too has become who I am and I likely won't change it.
Avatar is a pic I found somewhere. Love the water and it is the way i like to view myself in retirement...

I am a big Scrabble fan and play the game a lot although not in clubs or tournaments any more. I am, however, involved with the local school Scrabble program on a volunteer basis which I find more satisfying.
