Willie Nelson talks Trigger

Willie Nelson talks Trigger and wild path that led him back to Austin

As part of a new music series, Rolling Stone has created a short documentary on the history behind Trigger, Willie Nelson's favorite Martin acoustic guitar. Narrated by Woody Harrelson, the 11-minute video features such musical stalwarts as Nelson's Austin-based biographer, Joe Nick Patoski, harmonica player Mickey Raphael, Jerry Jeff Walker and the Red Headed Stranger himself. Although Trigger and Nelson have since become pillars of Austin's music scene, their story actually begins in Nashville with a fire.

"It's tough to make predictions, especially when it involves the future." ~Attributed to many
"In theory, there is no difference between theory and practice. But, in practice, there is." ~(perhaps by) Yogi Berra
"Those who have knowledge, don't predict. Those who predict, don't have knowledge."~ Lau tzu

Thanks for posting. Loved the story of how he saved it from a fire.

No doubt a continuous prosperity, though spendthrift, is preferable to an economy thriftily moral, though lean. Nevertheless, that prosperity would seem more soundly shored if, by a saving grace, more of us had the grace to save.

that was excellent... I lived in Austin from 72-74 during the height of the outlaw country era.. I was the overnight dj for the local album rock FM, KRMH..our logo looked like a rainbow and on air we called ourselves 'Good Karma'... there was an excellent progressive country FM with the appropriate call letters KOKE-FM... crazy times.

now I'm going to have to download some Willis Alan Ramsey, Jerry Jeff, Guy Clark, Pure Prairie League and Waylon tunes
