"Woman evicted from lava tube"

That's the headline of our local newpaper's article.

It doesn't say whether the state is trying to rent the living accomodations to another renter. But JB, I think this is a sign that the Hawaii housing market has hit the top.

The book written on, "The Military Guide to Financial Independence and Retirement", on sale now! For more info see "About Me" in my profile.
I don't spend much time here anymore, so please send me a PM. Thanks.

Sounds like she trespassing by living on a preserve. Shes going down the tubes.

In a panamax down by the river.

Re: "Woman evicted from lava tube"

I saw that, made me laugh. I thought about some of the regular comments about $1M dog houses and cardboard box homes with 500k down in the SF Bay Area.

We live about 3 miles from a dormant volcano. Its almost 100% privately owned land around it. Considered to be highly valuable real estate. Probably one of the reasons why the soil around here is so good.

One HECK of a golf course running around the base of it.

No active lava tubes for anyone to move into though.
Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful. Just another form of "buy low, sell high" for those who have trouble with things. This rule is not universal. Do not buy a 1973 Pinto because everyone else is afraid of it.
