C'mon Mr. Ha, don't be so hard on the poor things. Money and stability are such recent inventions, after all. Their biological programming has them hopelessly searching for that One Good Man who can bring home mammoth for dinner every night!

Oh, I don't disaprove of any of it, of marrying because she might want to quit her job, or of taking a walk on the wild side when the itch feels intense.

Although I think I would prefer being chosen for the latter.

Or, she might just say, "So you believe buster!" Then give you a Mona Lisa look and walk away.

Oh darn, and you thought you had it all figured out!

Maybe they are granddaughters?

In Russia, it is perfectly acceptable for a 20 year old woman to marry a 65+ old man, as a matter of fact, it is encouraged. (At least that's what MY Russian mail order bride DW told me)

Y'all may think that's funny until you go out for lunch with your 16-year-old daughter, and the waiter turns to her and says "And for your wife, sir?"

I think some of that is "thrill" and part of that is a nurturing instinct. For what ever reason, some women seem to think they are uniquely suited to "tame" or "change" the bad boys, and try to bring out whatever "good guy" there may be underneath. And for some surprising reason, it seems to usually end up in failure.

Yesterday, I got my hair cut. The hairdresser had some fun with the styling gel and made me look really chic. I usually just wash it and go, no mousse or any of that girly-girl stuff.
I met dh2b at the bank right after the haircut and asked "what do you think?"
He pointed out the fact that the left side of my hairdo had a larger spot of grey hair (mixed in with the still jet black hair), than the right side.
I pointed out that comments about grey hair, wrinkles, and weight were strictly verboten during his "dh2b" training.

Hairdressers charge extra for that effect, right?

He apparently fell asleep right after the "does this dress make my butt look big" training module...

No problem there - his keister is bigger than mine.
I have to change tactics - he's learning to bust my chops better than I do his.

If comments like that are verboten BEFORE marriage, are they allowed AFTER?
