Yeah. But I modified it slightly.
A great line is worth repeating.

Senator vs. Governor?
If I wanted to have tangible accomplishments, then I would say governor, because they are executives of state gov'ts and are required to 'do things'.
U.S Senators may have better pensions, there are no term limits, and they have the aura of importance whether they do something or not.
Senators have 'sanctuary' because they are only 1 of 100, and run for re-election only every 6 years.
But, I'd rather be the executive.

A US senator is a good place to retire on the job, as many senators (and their constituents) have discovered. Plus nice salary, all kinds of opportunities for graft and corruption not to mention those attractive sexual peccadillos that they so often fall into. Wow, what a job!
Since we are retiring types, this would seem to be an excellent fit.
Ha

Senator. Even though I believe I am a tid bit to ethical for the position.

Of course... President Governor of the Great Nation State of TEXAS...
The governor does not have as much power as the Lt. Governor.... but I think it would be a more rewarding job than Senator....
And I would not have to listen to Byrd
