Tomorrow is Wreaths Across America , our family will be attending and placing wreaths on our Heroes graves along with thousands of others in the U S . This costs nothing only some time . If you wish to donate it is welcome.

Here in Houston the trucks got in from Maine this afternoon full of wreaths . It will be an early morning but with father and brothers Vets it is a small inconvenience to give up a day .

It is worth it .

We attended the Wreaths Across America Houston Saturday . It was an early morning . You had to be at the cemetery early for parking . They did bus from one of our Malls.
They estimated 17,000 , people attended Houston . Our responsibility was to place close to 45000 wreaths . There were 9 tractor trailer rigs full of wreaths from Maine . Walmart, Tyson Foods and Hobby Lobby used their trucks to bring the wreaths to Houston . When you attend this you somewhat realize this is sacred ground . There were several military vets honored . This started at Arlington National Cemetery in 2009 now every year more cemeteries join.
So proud of all of the schools youth organizations , ROTC , FFA ,4H and others I didn't know . The Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts placed the boxes with the wreaths in them at strategic places so every grave would get a wreath .
We honored a 98 year old Vet who had parachuted into France . He would not ride a golf cart to the podium , preferred to walk . Four ROTC escorted him to the podium . His steps were small and slow from a very proud man . He stumbled but he made it .
So many people have given up so much for all of us to have what we have , the Vets their families we need to always remember them .
