The Art of Selling an Expensive Watch - WSJ.com
I have always been fascinated with watches, and to a lesser degree, clocks, since I was a kid.
At one time in the late 80s I owned about 30 wristwatches. A very expensive hobby. Currently own about 10 watches. Some pieces are considered investment pices, others are just pure waste of money except that I do get a lot of joy wearing certain watches. Many very expensive watches are usually not recognized by the genearl public, they lack the "bling bling" effect, just pure rare. One of the most expensive wristwatches ever auctioned was a Patek Philipps World Time in Platinum, it brought over $4,000,000 in 2002 (by Antiquorum's).
