Youtube Resolution On TV

Youtube has a pretty good resolution on my laptop (Macbook) but when I connect it via HDMI to our Sony 42" TV the resolution isn't so good. The internet is wifi to the laptop, pretty fast DSL, we stream Netflix quite well. Just wonder how good a resolution one can get with youtube?

Youtube videos are as high as 1080P but... it depends on the who made the video to decide resolution. If you click on the little gear in the lower right (the Settings icon) you can decide from the available choices.

Youtube Resolution On TV

Many Youtube videos are 360p, and the HD videos can be available in 720p or higher.

Youtube may be changing the quality of the video to match your download speed.
