I bet this would've been a very interesting article (today) if it had been written in 1997. I think I'd like to see their last 10 years' worth of "The Ten Stocks for the Next Ten Years" articles.
At least with Business Week you can save their "Where to Invest!" articles and laugh at yourself for the next few years.

I saw an article like this back in 2000 (if memory serves). The stocks included Enron and similar.
One year later I checked to see how they performed and posted something on the subject here (too lazy to look it up). Depending on whether one bought equal dollar amounts or equal numbers of shares, the loss was around -75%.
Amusing, but if you buy, you cry. More financial pornography.
