2018 tax brackets, its like found money!

I have been trading a lot recently and was always mentally setting aside about 33% for taxes on each trade.

I then realized we have the new tax brackets in effect and will only be in the 24% bracket (I am at about $285,000 now in short term trading gains but there are only a few more days left to trade in the year, although I did manage to make $4000 today trading in and out of Gilead THREE times in one day)

I get to keep 9% more of the money than I thought!

I think that should be the motto for this entire forum.

At a 9% savings I would go to Joe's Crab Shack rather than Red Lobster.

Long term gains are only 15%. If you never sell, the tax rate is zero.
