AGI and MAGI

Question regarding standard deduction.
Is it safe to assume standard deduction reduces both AGI and MAGI?

New tax law would increase standard deduction 24k for couples - married filing jointly.

Looking to estimate potential premiums for enrollment into ACA.

Certain it does not reduce MAGI.

Just look at form 1040. AGI is line 37, bottom of page 1. Deductions are on page 2, after AGI. So they don't affect AGI or MAGI at all.
