Every year , around  this  time , I like to start the "FLAT TAX" debate at work.

Usually just mumble something about it around the water cooler ,
then throw in   "But I think they take away the deduction for your home !"

Works like  magic to start nasty arguments.  (wonder if it works here too?)

So , will they eliminate the deduction ??

On this forum this is commonly referred to as trolling.

Lakewood,

You have better things to do with your time. So do we moderators.

The flat tax has been extensively discussed here before and can be found by searching the threads. If you have something productive to propose then kindly do so.

If you're here to start a "debate" (or a "nasty argument") then go wonder about it somewhere else... like M*'s Politics board or just about anything on Yahoo. Thanks.
