Anticipating Retirement Age

80% of workers don't expect to be able to retire until age 64.

I don't understand why they included a question about global warming on a retirement survey?

Things like this are done to "norm" the results to other surveys, and to check if they are getting too many wacky answers.

I know a guy who consults for polling firms. To make up polling questions is part art, part craft, part science. He gets about $1000 per question to make up a poll. Each question has several variants to try to make sure that little changes in wording don't affect the results. At least, that's what good pollsters do.
