Any One Buying?

Added to my BPOP stake. I'd love to buy some other stuff, but I am restricted at the moment.

I nibbled a bit ... had been taking some off the top since January.

Yep, bought 6 equities before the close today.

Nibbled a little today. Saving more for later this year.

Buying $1100mo S&P500, Russ2000, S-T BF, plus tad of ESPP, plus have $95k in cash for some bargain shopping.

I'm just letting my automatic monthly investments do their thing. Unfortunately, that means my 401k invested on May 11, when things were still pretty high. Had another $400 invest on Monday, and another $900 is going in on the 22nd.

I've thought about deferring my automatic investments and just doing them manually, on days when the market is down. But if past experience has taught me anything, that usually gets me nowhere, and my best strategy is usually to just do nothing at all, and let the investments go in at their regular intervals.

Andre,

"DCA" = dollor cost averaging (essentially what you are wisely doing by leaving the automatic deposits alone).

Set it and forget it.

Twice a month through the end of this month, then I won't be buying until I find another job. Looks like my timing, as usual, sucks. But it's a life move, not a market move.

Oh, I've been DCAing into my standard passive mix of funds.

DCA'ing - and drooling a bit. Wish I had more cash! Not quite a fire sale, but things are heating up (or, cooling down, depending on how you want to look at it!).

DCA'ing a little here, and a little there. No big investments, but gradually putting some of the dry powder into the markets (been sitting on plenty the last few years). It's annoying to see my YTD percentages cut in half after this past week, but a "buying opportunity" just means that such percentage will go even higher once the current correction has run its course.

It's a little less fun for those of us who are no longer adding to our stash :-\ but I expect it will all come out in the wash. It's probably the fault of currency-manipulating elitist liberals anyway...oh sorry, wrong thread :D

I nibbled a bit more yesterday (as I did the previous day) ...

Still keeping my powder dry.  I think we have another week or two of this.

Not selling my puts yet, either.

I'm about to jump out the window (luckily, we only have one story). I followed CFB's advice, and put everything into INTC.

Just kidding, but it's starting to look pretty sexy to me.

I'm planning to add more VWO and VBR, and since moving out of my 401k's Intl Blend with the 0.7% ER, I'll be adding to the Intl with EFA and PID. Own a bit of EFV, but for an ETF with an alleged value tilt, it has the lowest dividend of the three...

Nice buying opp today when it was down 5%.

The dell thing could be a heck of a red herring. AMD would have to build a couple of multibillion dollar fabs to meet even a portion of dells needs. Who would lend them the money? And why wouldnt intel wait for them to build them, then give dell the lower price and higher availability that they're trying to get with this maneuver in the first place?

AMD is waiting for INTC to put a fab up for sale. Seriously why would Dell start using AMD if they didn't think AMD could ramp up?

AMD supposedly has a 3rd-party fab on contract. But I also think the Dell-AMD thing is likely insignificant and more of a marketing move for Dell. So far it sounds like they're talking about multi-core servers. I haven't seen anything to indicate you'll see an Inspiron or Dimension with an AMD chip. I think Dell still is in bed with Intel.
