Any tax advantage vehicles for paying for primary/secondary education?

Will be looking at b/w $5-10k/year/kid coming up paying for primary/secondary education. A quick google would lead me to believe that there aren't any good tax advantage vehicles to take advantage of in this situation (other than the ESA, which is being reduced from $2k to $500 on 12/31/12, let alone eliminating the primary/secondary option)...but I thought I'd pose the question to the masses just to see if I was missing something.

How about 529 plans like this one? They are tax advantaged in that earnings are tax-free as long as they are spent on educational expenses. Some states give you a tax break on contributions, too.

529's are only good for college, and best used as a savings vehicle.

Coverdell ESA works for any grade level. But that looks like the only thing that does.

Oops. I didn't read OP carefully enough.
