Just be sure to feed her real well, and send her to get her check-ups on time.

If your children are minors then they do get a survivor's benefit and the same for your widow.
Is there any way for me to keep the money that I pay into unemployment insurance if I'm not unemployed or not eligible to collect?

I'm really pissed because the last time I took out trip insurance my vacation trip was marvelous and everything went great, so I didn't get to collect.
Also, on his deathbed my Dad confided that he was always annoyed that he never got to collect the $25 that he would have gotten if I had lost an eye playing HS football.
Some people just have rotten luck.

Hey zuki,
Who says your family has to tell the government that you kicked the bucket. They can just bury you in the corn field and continue to collect SS payments for years to come. It will be our little secret.

Sure they can. When I collect in 20+ years (if Georgie hasn't killed it off by then) I'll have them electronically deposited outside the US. For current rules on this see:

Re: any way to keep social security ..............
The plan to have the checks sent to a Swiss bank would not be needed if you had a large life insurance policy that your wife could collect upon declaring your demise.
Of course, if the SSA found out you kicked the bucket, wouldn't they go after your wife's assets to recoup any payments made after your death and possibly with penalties.
Interesting dilemma. Life is tough. :-/

Re: any way to keep social security ..............
i not only did not say i would cheat the system robbing a bank is stupid too.
i was asking for to gain knowledge.
since it seems very few go ahead and divulde the total amount of info on a topic until many questions are asked.
i know first hand when a family member passed.
the govt. took the current month and the month before social security cheacks back.
how ?
they just took the amount of the 2 right out of his estate account.
without saying anything.
