Anyone check out Wisdomtree ETFs?

Newest of the new ETF products:

http://www.wisdomtree.com/

Dividend focused with quite a few offerings. I am not always sold on these new ETFs and feel they can be a bit gimmicky but they may suit some investors on the forum.

Nords -

You had a thread some time ago about the availability of Intl Dividend funds/ETFs. Apparently these guys read your thread. You sure pull some weight around the finance world.

Yeah, it was either me or Jeremy Siegel. He wastes a lot of his writing time on research so I must've had my input in first.

I think Wisdom is one of the symptoms of people piling aboard the dividend bandwagon. While I'm happy to see more demand for the funds I already own, I sure hope this doesn't go the way of NASDAQ 5000.

And of course (hey, Wisdom, listen up!) I'll go with the ETF having the lower expense ratios.

Re: Anyone check out Wisdomtree ETFs?

Hey, good to hear from you, WC!

Wow, just checked their dividend indexes out, 6%+ for some! I'm guessing that comes with a fair amount of risk. Still, next year DW is going to start putting away serious money into a solo 401k (thanks, Brew!). Anybody think DCAing into something like that might be a good move for the long haul? Obviously, an ETF isn't the right move for DCA, we don't have a wad to allocated to an ETF right now.

Re: Anyone check out Wisdomtree ETFs?

Same problem as all the other dividend strategies: hugely overweight financials, utilities and (to a lesser extent) consumer staples. Its not that these are bad things to overweight, per se, but if you want to do so it is easy to do it a lot cheaper and far more transparently than via a trendy "dividend" ETF.
