For those who have sold treasury/TIPS bonds before they matured, were you happy with the pricing? Some companies take extra profit in the prices they quote, but I'm under the impression that neither Fidelity nor Vanguard do.

Fidelity allows free purchase of treasury and TIPS bonds at auction.
So does Vanguard, if your account is $250K or more.

Fidelity charges .50 per treasury bond to sell, $20 minimum.
Vanguard charges .75 per treasury bond, $40 minimum, at Voyager level.

E*Trade charges $40 for Treasury Auctions.

Why not just use Treasury Direct and skip paying the fees.

You can also sell through TReasury Direct also.
