This just hit my inbox. I really do not remember when I signed up for this site but this post seems interesting and I thought some of you may want to be informed. Clearly speculative at this point.

These alternate pension plans look appealing for Joe Average who will otherwise just end up with Social Security. I've long felt that an annuity without all the rip off fees would allow participants to share longevity risks and enable a higher payouts than a 401(k).

These "IRA" accounts are probably worse than the social security accounts. Run the numbers.
