Wonder how many have the bulk of their 401k in company stock?

Likely a bunch. BSC is known for "encouraging" large holdings of company stock. Hope these folks have been saving those huge end of year bonuses over the years.

I heard on Fox Financial News this morning that employees owned 1/3 of Bear Stearns.

Maybe he will show up on this board looking for ways to live within his means. Any guess on what his forum name would be - perhaps "bearkiller"?

Wow from $147 to $2, it is like Enron. What a disaster to have the bulk of your wealth tied up in something like this. On the other hand, we can hope that some of the BSD's that caused the mess are getting wiped out in this fiasco.

We already hear on TV of Enron-like stories of people who lost most of their savings with BSC's collapse... This guy said that his kids' college fund has been wiped out... It is sad sad sad...

i bet if you look back to 2002 you would find that bear stearns did have something to do with enron and they were one of the biggest pushers of these funny money loans.
