Better, mostly because I stumbled across a well-paying laid-back job opportunity. That will end in July but we'll still be better off than we had planned on so all is good.

Voted "About the Same" because: 1) We have been able to live on monthly income (pensions and SS) without withdrawing from savings; 2) Eventhough retirement investments have grown modestly, they would have grown far more if we had not retired a year ago (since we would still be continuing 401K contributions).

So, our lifestyle is "about the same" as before ER; but we left well-paying jobs that would have certainly added OMY of funds to our savings.

Into our 14th year of retirement, our portfolio has grown a tad. In real terms it would be lower. Even so, my sense is we are "better" because the odds our portfolio will survive have increased.

We are up about 12% since Sept. 2011, with this disclaimer: with pensions, savings, no debt (and SS a year away), we are fortunate to not need any withdrawals.
