Big Ben Speaks

Intersting speech by Bernanke, and IMO a lot clearer than what we had grown to accept from Greenspan.

Re: Big Ben Speaks

No surprise. We are at the edge of perhaps a period of higher rates and higher inflation. The Fed has a pretty clear choice: keep raising rates and push the economy into recession, or stop raising rates and risk an inflationary spiral. I think the Fed will do the former, especially since Helicopter Ben has yet to make his bones as an inflation-fighter.

Ben speaks and the market takes a dump, coincidence ? I think not.

Re: Big Ben Speaks

? Did anyone say they were coincidental? All the copy being written makes it very obvious the two are tied. In fact, it's just about the only thing that can consistenly bomb the market!

I'm excited, hey, one more raise and my EmigrantDirect account may match my mortgage interest rate!
