Alice Schroeder left her day job a couple years ago to write a book on Berkshire Hathaway. One of the very few Berkshire analysts, she started as one of the few covering General Re. When BRK bought the company she managed to keep up with that and the rest of Berkshire's holdings. I have to admit that I've missed her analysis.
It looks like she's shopping the book around now, and it's rumored that publishers have already bid $7M.
BRK just came off a two-year low and the shares are still below their long-term average. It'll be interesting to see what the book buzz does over the next six months.
