I found this on-line on Friday and made my move (also an ad in Sunday's paper).

2% CD for 24 months, early withdraw penalty just 3 months of interest.

It may be geographically limited. It's a Philadelphia based credit union with branches in the Philly burbs.

Close, but I guess I'm not eligible. As a promo rate, they aren't likely to keep me as a customer anyway.

For now, I'm sticking with brokered CDs, which edge out most direct CDs right now.
Bit easier than opening new bank accounts too.

I may make or lose money for early withdraw, but, I just plan to hold them to maturity.
