When I initially retired in 2003, my lump sum pension calculation was effected by the interest rate, whereby the lower the rate , the bigger the lump sum. At that time, I thought (realistically) interest rates will not go much lower. Morale of the story, I learned never say never.

Any how, now might be a good time to add tips to your port if you don't have any, just in case inflation rears its ugly head.
