Converted To Vanguard Admiral

Well, I converted to Admiral shares at Vanguard.* You have to go through all sorts of gyrations.* If you have automatic investment on any of your accounts, you have to reestablish that also.* It took me about 20 minutes to do two accounts.* I assume I got everything set up correctly.* My new Admiral accounts show a $0 balance.* I assume that at the end of the day, the shares will be moved over and my old accounts will go to zero.

Steven<br />I have done so much with so little for so long, I am now qualified to do everything with nothing.

I did conversions online yesterday and they appeared to work fine this morning.* My distribution options were carried over - the online menu gave that opportunity (ie, I route some dividends to Prime Money Market).

What took 20 minutes? I did a couple and it took me about a minute per fund. It'll take a couple of days for them to conclude the transaction, although I think the post date will be effective the day you did the conversion if you did it early in the day, effective the next business day otherwise.
Be fearful when others are greedy, and greedy when others are fearful. Just another form of "buy low, sell high" for those who have trouble with things. This rule is not universal. Do not buy a 1973 Pinto because everyone else is afraid of it.
