A different twist on the retirement savings story

Maybe this sums up the real retirement savings story a little better than the Fox News story.

I liked the last table in the pdf which shows that "more than half of current retirees have income that is the same or better than their pre-retirement income."

It reads like it's pretty easy to retire nowadays.

I beleive that you have mis-interpreted the table. The table isn't what retirees have its what retirees beleive that they need. So the table suggests that there is a gap between what working people think they need to replace and what (aparently) they will want once they retire.
