Do you autopay your bills?

Everything I can autopay is setup to autopay. I'm a big fan of doing things that way.

I pay most bills on auto-pay except the utilities - here in Austin TX there has been numerous water bill errors in amounts over $1k and it takes months to resolve and even when they do admit error they pay you back in installments.

We discovered the water company double billed us for many months. They readily admitted it when we pointed it out but insisted on keeping the money and suspending our autopay until the surplus was worked through. We were suspicious but they did it correctly.

We have one pull payment for monthly medicare on our checking account. When the amount changes, they do not increase the pull. So I have to cancel the old amount and initiate the new one.

(I think this was set up when only fixed pre-authorized amounts were allowed to be pulled.)
