Don't call Vanguard with a cold

Hmmmm.

After a few years of testing this new security feature, Vanguard has begun rolling out voice pattern recognition technology for security.

And how in the heck can it distinguish between your voice and a good recording of your voice?

Even a digital recording of your voice will not have the same acoustic properties that can be detected over the phone.

Pretty cool and scary at the same time... seeing technology evolve exponentially as we all age.

It was my understanding that a persons voice recording is a lot like a finger print... although the sound may be different when sick or strained, the unique signature will still be there for each individual. Much like your finger print can still be matched even as you age and the skin there changes and stretches.

Of course totally unrelated, but still my favorite comedy bit regarding voice recognition!

They ask you to speak a different phrase every time you call in?
