Earned Income for 2013
Any ideas as how to get a few thousand dollars in earned income this year?
Part time jobs not likely but a possibility.

Sounds like we need an Earned Income Club. I pay you, you pay me, and we both get to contribute to an IRA.

Good idea and the pay can't be higher than 400% FPL or that would make Obamacare to high. LOL

Would a few thousand of earned income really benefit your SS that much? If so, then a job or small business would seem to be the best bet.

I've run the SS estimator at ssa.gov with and without additional income and it made zero difference in benefits at least for me. But I'm 63 and will hold off on SS for another year and a half or two years, maybe three.

If you started a company, couldn't you pay yourself the necessary income that you are looking for??
