I know how popular real estate is as an investment, but there are more ways to lose money in real estate than I care to deal with. Let alone the midnight "fix the toilet" calls .

Oh wow - that's bad! So just "anybody" can hold your money in these so called "1031 exchanges"? Hmmmm - I think I would think twice before letting some organization hold that kind of dough unless it were a chartered bank or a well known investment firm.

I bet she wishes she had just paid the taxes outright.
