Expert Opinions

Goldman Sachs has upgraded IBM, now at 104.30 in early trading.

They downgraded it on April 18th, when it was 94.80, so if you follow
the "experts", you just missed out on 10% gains in 3 weeks, nice
call guys!!

They downgraded in April so that they could buy shares lower for themselves. They are now ready sell, so they announced an upgrade and want to eke out another percent or two profit. They know exactly what they are doing ... they are experts after all.

It is surprising how often that happens. Looking at Yahoo data it appears they've changed their opinion on IBM four times in the last twelve months.

I've owned some IBM shares since the early 90's. My opinion was "Buy" back then and then I downgraded it to a personal "Hold" ever since.

I have made more on stocks in my life than any mutual fund, but it takes a little digging and a lot of patience..............

I guess I got giddy after buying MSFT a month after it went public, and then selling it WAY too early because I felt a 500% return was "all there was".................. :P :P
