Foreign REITs

Has anyone done any research and have an opinion in this area? Seems like you have some international diversification into a "hard asset class" if you purchase a bunch of these REITs.

Can you offer some examples of foreign REITs? I've been hankering for a Japanese jREIT for a while, but none are traded on any US exchange as far as I know.

I have IGR (Ing Clarion Global RE), a CEF. I own it for income (7%+ yield), a play on the dollar depreciation (unhedged), and a theme of better valuation of RE overseas than U.S. Minor bet on increasing U.S. boomers retiring overseas in the coming years because they cannot afford to do so here.
Also, interesting 3% Asia allocation and 11% Australia allocation.

I think foreign Reits have potential.
I know of two mutual funds, one by Alpine the other by Fidelity.
Alpine I have received mixed reviews, Fidelity is too new.

The ING funds is interesting. Does anyone have any additional information or experience with it?

How about other foreign Reits?
