Re: help in planing

I dropped my NRA membership a couple years ago - too much politics and not enough rifle. Wasn't like that when I read their mag in the barbershop as a kid in SW Washington.

Yep, the NRA is largely about politics, but that's where
the laws are made and changed. I shudder to think where we would be Second Amendment-wise without
them. For those who think they are too unyielding,
I think they are too soft. Getting the "Assault Weapons
Ban" to expire was a great event. A nonsensical feel-good law if there ever was one.

Ed, just to be sure I asked my wife if I'm gay. *She says "Uhhh...NO"

Terribly sorry to disappoint you.
Yeah, but she's biased. I'm not going to trust the answer to this question till I hear it from Ed. He seems to be the gay expert.

Re: help in planing

When I first was considering ER, I thought I had found a gem in this forum.....investment strategies, SWR, financial gurus, experienced FIRE'd folks.

It appears that this focus group is beginning to join the never-ending list of name-calling, be-like-me, anti this-n-that chat rooms that attract a totally different kind of conversation by making inflammatory remarks, etc.

I much prefer the former dialog. I hope this type of trash will soon disappear.

I prefer to think I left most of that behind me at work.

Re: help in planing

Hello Beststash! If you are looking for a group with
no disagreement and name calling............well,
good luck. I know of no such, and besides.............
wouldn't that be a little boring? After all, you can only discuss/debate SWR and SS reform for so long.

TH you know better than to post such drivel as your last post in this thread!

Ed you have terminal potty mouth and need to grow up and show a bit of consideration for others. Apparently from your posts you are incapable of conversation without resorting to personal attack. You act like my 12 year old cousin when he is trying to tick his mother off.

Apologize to all board members!
After this guys first three posts, I felt like he had some strong beliefs, but hadn't crossed into being a racist, and asked for the guys that had taken him to task to give him a break.
Since that time, he has shown his true colors.
I doubt if anybody on this board has the time or inclination to help him with his obvious personality problems, so hope that we will all just ignore, and not respond at all to any of his posts. He'll go away eventually.

Naw

Just get out of the house to the doughnut shop more often - never got any consv. to agree with me but the doughnuts are great. I like the white powdered sugar ones with custard centers - not a true doughnut - but then again - I'm my own kind of liberal.

And look forward to curmudgeonism - in my old age.

Heh,heh.
