How Much Money Do You Need to be Happy ?

$50K is the magic number for me, but that is also assuming no debt payments. Our family of 6 can 'get by' on that amount without huge sacrifices, but without a lot of expensive trips needless-to-say.

Once we are empty-nesters, $50K will seem like a lot, and would allow us to travel a fair amount as well. Fortunately we will have much more than that to live on, but at $50K all the basic necessities of life are taken care of.
