i am going to *dump *my deffered comp and .....

pay off the house instead.

the morganstanley/dean witter/hartford guy put me on hold for the last time today.

i am busy with other clients, can you call me again for the 5th time next week ?



i am going to get out and right off the mistakes and buy down my home instead.


any strategies for changing the irs dependants you claim so as to receive more paycheck and less #@*%$!

I may try writing off my dogs as children.

I figure if the IRS guy comes by to check, Ted can eat him.

He'd have to lick his butt a lot afterwards to get the taste out of his mouth, but thats his problem...

i meant in terms of keeping the most instead of paying tax yet slightly breaking even at years end.

know what i mean ?

Ah yes, you need to file a new IRS form W-4 with your employer, like this one:
http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-fill/fw4.pdf

Be careful you dont overdo it...if you end up having to pay a lot, the IRS may disallow you from claiming ANY dependent status for a period of time. They like their interest-free loans, they dont like giving them though. They're very funny about that.

I believe you'll be OK with the IRS as long as you withhold 90% of what you actually end up owing, or 100% of what you paid the previous year.
