According a blog I read online the effective rate for Nov 1 for I-bond is 2.76%

I have an I-bond that I bought Jan 1, 2013. It's effective rate is 1.76%.

Should I sell it now or keep for another year?

I know that I lose 3 months of interest if I sell before five years are up.

Not sure how to calculate this.

The variable rate on the I Bond you bought in 2013 will change to 2.76% on Jan 1st.
