Looking at the winner's feedback - she does that all the time. Hmmmm... makes me wonder what the scam is.

Good point, but I wonder if you are giving her too much credit Maybe she just enjoys the rush of winning an auction? Who knows.

Also, there was ANOTHER bidder willing to shell out $52 on the history.

The first items I sold on Ebay were gift cards and people paid full price for them .Why ?

I wonder if this is a money-laundering thing -- I buy a $50 shell card for $60 of PayPal funny-money that I got doing something illegal or at least avoided paying taxes for, and now I can effectively buy gas with my PayPal account... not sure, but I bet there is something like that going on under the surface...
