If you are going to post this can you tell us hat is Williams' bacground ans why we should listen to him?

I'm sorry, about a week ago or so, I started a Thread on whether the inflation rate that is reported is fudged. I believe it is. The John Williams site ShadowStatistics.... was sourced. We discused whether he was full of it or not. Seeing him live in this link might be of interest to some that took part in that discussion. I didn't know he was a gloom and doomer, now I do. I still think his inflation claims are interesting, being a doomer doesn't mean he fudges his numbers.

Rock On - Thanks for the info. He sounds like a "perma bear". I'm not a "perma bull"
I asked the question because I see such posts and ask myself why should I listen to the person being referenced - there are a lot of opinions out there on every subject.
