Hmmm. . .Animorph,

I would say the decision rules are about distributions. How much can you take depending on the state of the market at distribution time. HOWEVER, you still need to rebalance, and that will/could generate the distribution income you need.

In practice, I determine what I need. Then rebalance to create the income.
